Spotted this 1956 Ford Thunderbird in Cades Cove, in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Owner said his dad purchased the car in 1973 and they later restored the car! Pretty cool story.

Most likely it was a 56. The 55 and 57 did not have the Continental Kit, but that doesn't mean they could not buy one, and have it put on.
