The driver's side fresh-air duct halves, along with the splash guard, have been discarded (the ducts prolly rotted away, I assume, from inspection of the passenger side ducts and he was just not motivated to re-install the splash guard). I want to just make this a driver and don't need the gaping hole in the driver's kick panel blasting air into the cab constantly.

My issue: Where the rear duct mounts to the fender apron has been patched. This patch has deleted the mounting opening locations for the duct as well as the flapper valve crank opening. I have since sourced a serviceable set of driver's side ducts but I'm having a difficult time divining EXACTLY where the opening for the flapper crank should be and what shape (if not circular) it is. Could someone post up an image of the driver's side crank/cable interface area, as reference for me? TIA!

Since we are an all Ford Thunderbird site, you can omit the make and model of your car. Your title "1956 Thunderbird ducting issue" has been revised to summarize exactly what your post is about.
