1956 Continental kit removal?

I expect to get some negative feedback on this but I'm new to the forum and am looking for a 56 or 57 TBird. I like both body styles except for the continental kit on the 56. Can someone tell me what is involved in removing it I've seen one online that looked it might have used a 55 bumper.

I try to weed out the negative people so most everyone is respectful! It's amazing what people will say online that they wouldn't say to someone's face at a car show.

One of the members in my club has a 1956 Thunderbird and he didn't like the continental kit either, so he removed the continental kit and installed a 1955 bumper.
