1955 rubber hood bumpers location

Along with the miles of other rubber parts I’ve purchased, I have 4 rubber hood bumpers. To my knowledge the ‘55 didn’t come with these so I’m wondering if I should install these and where they should be located?

There should be an open screw hole about 7" from the front corner then another about 21' further up. they just screw in.

Thanks. Mine didn’t have any holes but I can sure drill some.

I just had my 55 painted and there has never been any rubber bumpers on mine. It only has the rubber strip across the cowl behind the hood latches.
