I am replacing all the guts to manual windows on my bird. Does any one know the steps to remove and replace ?

Got the window guts out. Problem with hard rolling windows was caused by the rollers which are rusty and a few put in in correctly.

Moving on ......

Why go manual. My windows are the same, REALLY slow. The rollers are all gunked up but according to Gill Baugartner the grease in the gearcase needs to be cleaned and regreased with white lithium grease that doesn't harden with age or cold.

Thanks Ward, I'm taking the rollers apart to clean and will use lithium on all moving components. Normally the first thing I grab is regular ole grease. I'll fight my instincts🙂

I just bought new rollers. They are cast and not pressed steel. Should last almost forever. $9 apiece is worth the price compared to the time to clean the old ones and one was even bent so it wouldn't even roll.
