1955 headlight rubber gasket?

Is there some kind of rubber gasket that goes between the headlight trim and fender? I think it will keep it from chipping the paint.

13044 is the only gasket that there is.

I have a piece of 1/8 foam rubber I may make a gasket just to keep the 2 parts from chipping each other.
