Then and Now rebuilt our #4206 dual action pump in 2023. Bottom diaphragm (fuel pump section) is now showing some weeping around the mated flanges with the diaphragm screwed between them. I realize whatever warranty period may have lapsed but the vehicle has had less than 500 miles accumulated since that time.
As long as both fuel pump mating surfaces are flat and not distended between the 10 screw holes, can any fuel-proof sealant help alleviate a new diaphragm installed from leaking?
I will call and try to speak to the technician that rebuilt this pump in 2023 for advice. Monday, 5/11/2026.
Yes, installing an electric fuel pump has been suggested, and considered for this first year production T-Bird....
Thank you for any advice you may offer....
