Hi everyone,
I just got a 1955 Ford Thunderbird in pristine condition. I was driving it around today and had one quick question. How can I release the emergency brake? There are two possible positions available for the lever - one near me and one away from me. Which position is for engaging the parking brake and which position is for disengaging the parking brake. I know this might be a very simple question, but thank you in advance!

Not sure about 55, but on 56 - pull handle straight out to engage & turn handle counter clockwise to disengage.
