Where was the brake light switch located on a 1955 with a power brake booster? I am unraveling several years of non-original changes to my bird. Thanks.

I just replaced mine. Originally the T-Bird brake light switch (pressure switch) was not on the master cylinder. It is on the left side rail in the engine compartment. The brake lines tie into it and there are two bullet connectors. Attached is a picture from the shop manual.

Thank you. I thought I had read that but I could not recall. I recently took a picture of a '55 owned by the local Ford dealership owner. That switch was connected at the booster. It looked totally out of place. Seems the more I dig the more I find that has been modified (changed out) on my car. Not trying to recreate a 100 pointer but I prefer things to look reasonably original. I should have looked in my shop manual. That thought never crossed my mind.

As j12m34r65 pointed out, the switch is located on the left side rail, on the distribution block where the brake lines are connected.
