The hole in the door wedge does not line up with hole in the door. Is there a bracket used for this?

What is the door wedge?

It is the metal piece in front of the arm rest that attaches to the arm rest and the door panel.
I made metal plates and attached them to the upper corner of the door and drilled holes to attach the wedge.
