Hello - I’m new to this forum and am in the process of restoring a ‘55. Any advice on removing the dash knobs? (In particular the left vent, wiper control and blower switch) I thought they had a set screw but I can’t find any. Thank for any feedback.

If you want more responses title your post properly. "1955 dash knobs" could mean anything. Assumed it was a parts wanted post.

Title revised to summarize your post.

I think the wiper and blower do have set screws. Perhaps the holes are filled with years of dirt. But the left vent, as I recall, can only be removed with the removal of the entire assembly, the part that goes into the dash and the cable. To remove it there is a large nut on the back side of the dash that holds it in place. Disconnect the end of the cable inside the engine compartment, take the nut off from behind the dash, and then it should come out of the dash. At least that's how I remember it.
