1955 Cutting Front Springs for Stance Adjustment

Yes...stock rear leaf springs. KYB Gas-a-just shocks front and rear. I have been considering swapping out with Viking double adjustable shocks but: 1) I want to drive it for a while to see how the new springs feel. First impression is that they improved the ride somewhat...it's still a 1955 car; 2) the Viking shocks are somewhat pricey; 3) I don't need or expect perfect handling for occasional driving.
