I am trying to get the map/courtesy light to work and cannot figure out the correct wiring to include the door jamb switches. I have purchased all new door jamb switches as well as new switch for the light housing. The under dash wiring is a mess so I am thinking of just completely rewiring the light circuit. Any help on how it should go?

Yes it has been converted to 12v

Since your T-Bird has been converted to 12 volts, the fuse on the back of the headlight switch should be 7.5 amps and not 9 amps. The 7.5-amp fuse on the headlight switch only powers the courtesy lamp in the dash and the door jamb switches. If the fuse is blown, check the wiring to the map light and door switches for bare wires especially where the wires exit the kick panels and enter the door jamb.

Changing to 12 volt does not affect the wiring or operation of this system. The only change required would be the light bulb.
