1955 Carburetor venturis rolling pin purpose?

Working on rebuilding a Holley 4000 carburetor for a customer, and when I was taking it apart, I noticed that one of the roll pins in the venturis is missing. Any ideas that they are for? Are they needed? If they are needed, any ideas on where I can get one or what the size is so that I can try and find one at a hardware store?

Not sure of their function, or the effect of running without one, but you may be able to reach a calipers arms down the throat to measure the diameter of the remaining pin, if not, it appears that the venturi horns can be removed by unscrewing the two screws near the top of your pic, then it would be simple to measure the pin size to find the correct one at the hardware store. Sorry I can't offer more than that.

Probably used as an enrichment device. How does the car run as it is?

I am unsure of how the car ran as the customer just dropped off the carburetor because is was leaking.

Since I have quite a few Holley 4000 cores waiting for me to rebuild, I have the boost venturi that you need.
