Years ago, I bought a used 1988 Mustang 5.0/w AOD. Although it shifted fine, the transmission made a whining noise. I returned it to the dealer. They put in a transmission additive. When I test-drove it, the transmission still whined. I went right back to the dealer and asked the technician what he thought the additive would do to which he replied, "Nothing." The dealer then rebuilt the transmission under warranty and provided a loaner car.

Use lube guard nothing else professional transmission shops use it .some put a bottle in every rebuild.

I need to change the rear seal and fluid do I pick up lube guard at any parts store?
