I tried to measure idle vacuum from the distributor vacuum line from the carb but it was 0" at idle. Is there another way to measure vacuum at idle? Can't seem to find any other vacuum lines...

Thanks
Bob

You can measure the manifold vacuum at the small vacuum wiper line that is connected to the brass block in the intake manifold forward of the carburetor.

Yeah I found that I’m pulling 18 inches of mercury at idle

now all I need is a timing gauge tape or something to mark the crank pulley

thanks

I used a white out pen to mark the timing marks. No muss no fuss.
