To keep our community safe and high-quality, all listings must adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to follow these steps will result in your post being removed.

📦 Seller Requirements

  1. Personal Sales Only: No business or retail listings allowed. You may not post on behalf of third parties or other businesses.
  2. Verification Photo Required: You must include a photo of the item with a handwritten note featuring your forum username and the current date. This helps demonstrated you have the item in your possession.
  3. Pricing & Details: Every listing must include a clear asking price and a detailed description. Vague posts (e.g., "1955 parts for sale, DM for info") will be deleted.
  4. No "Off-Site" Only Listings: Do not simply post links to Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. All photos and descriptions must be hosted here.
    • Note: eBay links are permitted only if the full description and photos are also included in your forum post.
  5. Connectivity & Security: Posts made via VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, or proxies are prohibited to prevent fraud.
  6. Mark as Sold: Once your item is gone, reply to your thread stating it is SOLD. Please do not message moderators to delete the thread.

🛡️ Privacy & Safety

  • No Public Contact Info: Never post your phone number or email address publicly. Scrapers and bots use this data for spam and harassment. Always use the Direct Message (DM) system for sharing contact details.

⚠️ Buyer Protection & Tips

Disclaimer: The forum is not responsible for any losses or scams. Protect yourself by following these best practices:
  • Demand a Voice Call: Never rely solely on text or email. While AI voice technology has become sophisticated, a real-time phone conversation is still a critical hurdle for many scammers. If they refuse to talk, walk away.
  • Request Specific Photos: Ask the seller for a new photo of the part with a specific phrase (like "Thunderbird Forum" + the date) to ensure the item hasn't been sold already.
  • Use Protected Payments: Whenever possible, ask the seller to list the item on a platform with buyer protection (like eBay) to ensure your funds are secured.
