Depends on what you are looking to do with your car Phil. If it's a driver with less than 400hp I recommend a guy in the north east to rebuild it to drive the tires off.
Thanks for the response. I am, at least these days, a driver more than a competitive show guy. Had some success with "points" cars but as I get older, I find a well sorted, reliable driver for cruises and local shows is more fun. Just no longer have the enthusiasm but wish the real competitors good luck. They elevate the hobby and add value to my collection.
Found a Carb Specialist near Atlanta that , I hope, will rebuild a teapot core and I will swap the rebuild.
Swapped a modern Edelbrock onto my '61 390 and the difference was worth the effort.
BTW looking for a nice Squarebird (59 or 60) and a Flairbird. Hardtop or convert, probably needs to be an air condition car and it would be easier if it were mid-south.
