seeking input relative to semi synthentic oil with LDDP additive

Synthetic oils are very good at cleaning your engine intervals. That being said, if you have a high milage engine it may loosen any carbon build up and cause you to begin burning oil or leaks. On a fresh rebuild it would be ideal.

My car is a 1956 with 312 engine - intent of my question is the addition of LDDP!
