You probably already know your 2005 Premium, Special Limited Edition 50th Anniversay Cashmere is one of 1,500 built like that.

Are you in a warm enough climate to have the top down? Thats when you can really appreciate the car.

Thanks for the info.

We're a little north of San Antonio, TX.

The previous owner said she never had the soft top up, always used the hard top. Soft top is squeaky clean but we are dealing with the outer fabric coming unbonded from the rear window.

Just about wrapped up the detailing and preventative maintenance (brake fluid flush, coolant flush, oil change). Debating whether I should do a trany flush or not. Picked up the car in South Carolina. It has 17,000 on it now. Just put new rubber on it, still had the original skins on it.

Had an arctic blast come down last week but it got up to 70 today. Next day in the upper 60s we'll get out with the top down. Plan is to use it for cross country (north - south) road trips.

It's not possible to decipher all of a vehicles build info from its VIN except in a pretty basic way.

You should try a google search for something like:
vintage Ford Thunderbird VIN decoder

You also might try these two:
