Hi, Quickdraw,
Before bringing the T-bird into Canada, it had to be on an approved list of vehicles able to be imported into the country, then, go through a gov't initiated inspection within 30 days ;only three special requirements-a km/hr speedometer(it has both), child seat tethers (has them), and day-time running lights (these are in all T-birds-activated through a computer code by a Ford dealer).It was a simple procedure-no problem.Paperwork to allow the car into Canada was sent to the border by the dealer 72 hours in advance of border crossing (which had to include a Ford -generated proof that there are no outstanding recalls on the vehicle).Mark Kurkowski, my selling dealer, did a terrific job with all of this. If Im not mistaken, while the Tbird has both MPH and KPH on the speedo dial, I believe the US version has the MPH predominate (larger) and the KPH numbers are smaller. I believe this is reversed for true Canadian spec built cars. Can someone confirm?
 
Yes Quickdraw. I recently saw a picture the dash of a Bird in Europe. You are correct.

2004 T-Bird

Hi all - on Monday I finally bought a retro Bird after years of waiting while getting all the kids through college! My daughter and I took a road trip to get the car and after driving it for the past 2 days I enjoy the car more than I thought I would.

Can you you give me some info on my Bird?
