95 4.6l auto side 42K. I'm confused, priory my 2-3 shift used to shudder with intermittent no 2-3 shift unless manually 1-2-3 then ok. Then a Week or so ago, no engagement, just high rev when should be switching. Suspected burnt 3rd gear or dual solenoid. Oddly I could shift neutral-D while driving and would shift in for a few secs then back to 2nd again. I Changed oil and filter to synthetic and still no 2-3, inspected wiring- ok, no codes, no trouble lights. Was going to try a new DSS this weekend in hopes..Wellll today it started to shift thru all gears again on light throttle ??? Wtf I thought, now what do i do or try.
