top down is great I feel claustrophobic with my head rubbing the top

LOL, you must be a big dude. Does the wheel fit between your Knees? These cars were not designed for people over 5'10". People were much smaller when they were built. Same with the Corvettes at the time, not to mention the European cars of the era.

Hate to admit it ,but I have made several long trips w/o the top or sun block and looked like a racoon for several days'

Top down unless the top is part of judging. I usually don't have my car judged any more. PITA

Old thread but the hard top stays on in the summertime for the AC but comes off for Nationals and special shows. Stays off in the fall and spring but can use the soft too if needed.
