I am locally advised to rebuild the power str. pump if the steering box is rebuilt as it could contaminate with metal shavings the rebuilt pump valves.
Any thoughts on this . ??? This has been quite an experience just trying to locate one,learning that the replacement seals generally do not fit if not modified , some accept core deposits and others will not but require cores first. Some 62's have early dowel pin str boxes others are diff with grove. This has been quite an experience gettting this repaired. I first ordered seals and it continued to leak. Pricing is all over the place even if one can be found.Moan groan.
I am new to the big T birds, Prev 55 and 57.
