96 T-bird LX Trade Question

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus for sale and someone wants to trade me a 1996 Thunderbird LX for it. The Tbird has a 4.6 Liter motor and has 180k on it. He sent me pictures of it running and driving. It looks to be in good condition...not excellent...but good. His reason for trading is because he has a child now and needs a family size car that is easier to get a car seat in and out of. What thoughts do any of you have on this swap and what should I be looking for on the 96 Thunderbird. it is currently his daily driver.
