94 V-6 shifts at 4000.

Strange as it seems, the trans feels great, tuning same, no slippage. It's just like you were holding the shifter till 4000 then went up one. Does it on it's own, no matter what throttle setting.
Pulled codes, only got a tps adjustment, which I don't want to change yet because it runs so well....
Any ideas?

Ok have you checked your tranny fluid? Or have you changed the transmission filter lately? If you haven't changed the filter in awhile the tranny can't build up the pressure as quick for shifting. Same as if you were low on tranny fluid.
 
94 V-6 shifts

I have a '97 3.8 litre that will go up to 4000 r.p.m. and stay there when and if I hold the accelerator down.
I spoke to a tranny expert and he stated that there's a computer chip that prevents the r.p.m.'s from going any higher,unless you take your foot off the gas and allow the AOD to kick in.
