71 429 coolant optimal temperature

It looks like I have a 170 temp in my 71 429, would a 190 be better,?

Looks like the original would have been 195.

I have a 160 on my 72, 429. I have added a temp gauge and it still runs about 190 during my summer here in Florida and around 175 during the cooler times of year.
