Hello all. Finally replaced my pinion oil seal and ready to attach the drive shaft. Does anyone know the torque spec for the u bolts that attached the universal joint to the pinion yoke? I couldn't find it in the manual, and I over tightened it and stripped the threads on the u bolt - don't want to do it again. Thanks

You can look up torque specifications for any size nut and bolt. There are tables available on the internet.

There is finger tight, hand tight, wrist tight, elbow tight, arm tight, shoulder tight and too tight!
On the U-jount bolts I use wrist tight! Use new lock washers.

last time I used my torque wrench on small bolts even according to the manual I stripped them!

Thanks Zero -that's exactly what I did. don't know what I was thinking.
