1994 4.6l engine rebuild

My 94 is worn at 265K and sitting since 2009. I've decided to fix all the mechanicals starting with the motor. I hav found that replacing the motor with a 302 or a 4.6l 3-Valve would require extensive engine bay modifications, so I've decide to re-build the original. I'm looking to make ~400 hp. Anyone try this ?

I want to do the same thing eventually..if you find any info please contact me. If it's too pricey I would rather just get another 4.6 instead of a rebuild. 8187700263
