1971 heater blower motor access

I had mine replaced by the shop that was repainting my 70, I had one stripped bolt on hood hinge, so the hinge was removed(not sure if that even applies, I am getting old) they had to take electric motor apart and leave the old motor housing installed and took the new motor apart and hooked up to housing in firewall. I am in another state from where my bird is located, so I can't do a visual. Hope this helps.

I got it out from the passenger side footwell. It was deep in there and not easy to access. Now to find a blower motor that fits it correctly. The ones I have tried so far, the shaft for the squirrel cage is too short, as I have read on other posts. I am going to try to do a coupler to extend the shaft as another member of this forum had done. Thank you for the reply!!
