I have had my 66 for 12 years and tried to keep it pretty stock. However, I have never been happy with the seat backs. The plain metal painted seat back with the chrome platted insert. I was thinking about re-chroming the inserts and repainting the seat backs but decided to do what you see to match my black and emberglo interior. I applied black vinyl to the seat backs and painted the inserts to match the interior with thunderbird emblems and a little chrome. Not stock but I like it.

I like it. I have 65 Special Landau with emberglow paint. My roof liner was looking pretty shabby so I'm having one custom made with emberglow piping at the seams. Will post pictures once I have it installed.

I love that. I put brushed metal vinyl on my inserts and that looks pretty good but I would love to add the birds. Where did you get them?
