If your original male thread still screws fine, you may want to use "red Loctite" (or eventually green) in the male thread and re-screw with not much torque. You won't need any washer as you won't be torquing too much. Wait until next day and it will hold well and be sealed (no leaks).The fuel inlet is a little stripped.
