Has anyone tried hi end shocks on a 1965 (convertible actually)? I'm thinking (if available) about Bilstein, or Koni... Any experiences with good handling shocks would be greatly appreciated.

I have KYB on my Grand Cherokee and have to say they made quite an improvement. I was hoping to find something more traditional for the Bird but who knows, I just may do that.

The KYB improved the 57 by helping prevent roll and all round handling. I also had a 7/8” front roll bar made, the original was so ridiculously small. We now have a really nice riding car. The KYB need to be the gas adjust model.

A wee bit firmer but that was one of the improvements. We travel away to rallies and have the boot full or part full.
