Hello,

Its been a while since I have been on, life happened so hard - but I am coming out of it a bit.

Here is my question. I am going to be working on the suspension on my 64 for probably the entire winter and probably spring. The car is not going to be started. I don't want my brand new Edelbrock 1406 to go to crap. What is the best way to preserve the carb? Should I pour some marvel mystery oil in it, seafoam, or satbil? I have already put satbil in the gastank.

Thanks!

Hi Don. The main concern is if fuel is left in the carb, it can get gummy and go bad. If you want to leave the carb in place, drain the fuel out and cover the carb with a plastic bag to prevent crud from getting in. That should do it. Good luck, Doug
