1964 accelerator linkage installation

The accelerator linkage that is bolted to the firewall (red arrow). Does that plate face down or up? I think it goes down. 2nd question, I think I have a bracket in the wrong bolt hole on the bellhousing (green arrow). Either that or I have the bracket facing wrong. Could someone take some pictures of your set-up so I can compare and make sure I have it right?

You will get more responses if you summarize your post in the title. Almost everyone has a question, put what the question is. Title "1964 accelerator linkage question w/ picture " has been revised.
