Hi all, first time posting here and new to the Thunderbird world in general!
I am looking to restore/replace the sun visors, as the steel has pitted and rusted. The white visor portion itself is still in good condition.
I’d like to clean and refinish the pads and put them on new arms/brackets, but I can’t seem to get the old arms out??
Are they just held on by friction? Secret screw? Or am I just weak and can’t get them off?!

Thank you in advance!

I'm in the process of doing mine.
I put the shaft part in a vise and twist and pull they are held in by friction bands molded into visor. Use SEM vinyl prep and SEM color match vinyl spray paint. New metal repoped parts are available at Bird Nest and Pat Wilson and other various places.

Thank you so much!
Extra credit for the paint tip too!
Have a great day🙂
