1963 engine stops when accelerator pedal is pressed

hello, our bird was in garage for 3 months. we start the engine and when the accelerator pedal is pressed, engine stops immediately. thank all for helping answers.

I had that happen once because the wire coming into the bottom of distributor had a bare spot,. Or, you could ave bad gas
 
It's likely that your accelerator pump jets are plugged, or the pump is not working.
 
Try a new accelerator pump diaphragm. About $4.00 and very easy to replace (right on front of carb.). Timing should be around 12 degrees BTDC or more (15 degrees?) also.
