1962 star wheel just spins

The star wheel just spins and doesn't latch. Cleaned, lubed and it worked fo 4 latches. Now it just spins. Help and thank you.

That is what was done. Only worked for a few shuts. Guess I’ll take it out again.
 
Check the pawl that locks the star. It may be worn to the point of sticking. You may be able to dress it up with a file to smooth any rough spots.
