I have been working on a brake problem. It may possibly have something to do with a vacuum leak. Not sure where it may be. Replaced hose to booster but wondering if there is a trick to show where leaks may be around carburetor, block or other fittings. Hard to hear any sucking sounds with the engine noise. Thanks

You can spray starter fluid at vacuum connections, intake manifold, carb. but the 1st thing I would do is disconnect that new hose you attached to the booster and cap the end. Start the engine and see if it smooths out. You could have a bad booster.
