1960 Convertible Top very slow

My convertible top is extremely slow going down. Not so much going up. But, I sometimes have to help it by pushing on it to get it to go down. I believe this is hydraulic as well as electric. Is there a hydraulic reservoir for this? Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
