1957 horn wire conversion kit

I am doing a power steering conversion on my 57 Tbird. I am not able to use the stock horn wire ground because the kit will not allow use of the existing long black ground wire. I have spent hours looking for a horn wire conversion kit with no success. Can any member refer me to a vendor to supply such a kit or suggest some other solution to the problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the work is now at a standstill. Thank you. Dudley
