OEM 6.70/15 (bias-ply). Many owners install 205/75R15, but the overall diameter is smaller than 6.70/15. It's not uncommon to lose full wheel covers/w radials mounted on OEM steel wheels. The radials cause wheel flex. Nevertheless, radials make for better drivers. Our speedometers aren't particularly accurate. At approximately 55 mph, my 55's speedometer registered an indicated 65 mph; that's with Fordomatic, stock 3.31 gears, and 205/75R15 tires.

The correct rim size for a 55 and 56 is 15" diameter, 5" wide with an offset of 0.62". The correct size tire for a 55 and 56 is 6.70 x 15 or 205/75 R15 for a radial tire. If you are asking about the size of the tire in the continental kit, they were made only for the 6.70/15 tire.
