1956 Stalls after warming up

Post does not meet subject criteria
Starves for fuel after running and getting warm. Replaced fuel pump, tank, and sending unit. Flushed all fuel lines.

With all new fuel delivery system and verified lines, it has to be the carburetor. I’d put a cheap fuel pressure gauge right in front of the carb just to be sure you have pressurized fuel at the carb(4-5psi). After that it’s time to dig into the carb. I had a messed up needle in the carb and it let gas free flow into the carb gushing out all over the place. Maybe you have the opposite problem and the needle has closed off gas altogether.
 
Fuel bowl is only half full or less when stalled
Not sure if that is normal or abnormal. Fuel at a reasonable level in the bowl means the problem I was experiencing is not the problem you are experiencing. My shop sent my carb to a place in Atlanta to get it rebuilt. That would be my next move.
 
The rebuild kits include a rubber-type float needle that gets gummy/sticky after long exposure to ethanol. If it sits cold for a time, it will stick in the fuel intake with enough adhesion to overcome the force of the float, thus running the bowl dry (in the time it takes to warm the motor).
Installing a NOS/OEM brass needle cures the issue.

Can’t figure how to edit a previous post: Just wanted to add: The needle & seat came as a paired assembly. Don’t know how a loose needle would work in a newer seat.
