Hi! I'm a new member to the forum. I'm in the process of buying one that has the key broken off in the driver's door lock. Not a deal breaker but still need to get it removed. Anyone have this experience and do-it-yourself fix?

hmmmm
Key broken off , door locked or unlocked?
If unlocked simply remove door card to access the linkage and clip that secure the lock in place. Removed lock can then be brought to a local locksmith.
Good luck

A pair of dental picks or similar will help remove it . Spray a little oil in there as well.

Lubricate with silicone spray, dental pic’s as indicated above and/or, try a strong magnet.

Found this on you tube awhile back and was able to use the spring hack to get the key out of my lawn tractor that had been broke off for two years (was able to start it wit a screwdriver and being "frugal" I didn't want to buy a new switch). Squirted a little marvel mystery oil in and let it set for awhile then followed the instructions using a spring from a ball point pen and was able to get it on the second try. (Probably work using a piece of fine mechanics wire ) Good luck
