I have a 1956 Tbird and noticed the front drivers door need to be lift up. The rest of the door is spaced ok. How do you lift the door? Thanks for any Input..Jerry

While it may be that the hinge pins are worn - easy enough to check by lifting the door while open and looking/feeling for movement at the pins - there is adjustment at both mounting ends of the hinge. At the cowl/door post, the adjustment is primarily used to move the door in/out while the mounting points of the hinge to the door will allow alignment foward and back and up/down.
It might be wise to check for possible rusting of the door post if your car has rust issues in the rockers or around the door.
This was an issue on my '55 which did not have the inner fender panels and required repair.

if your hinge pin is worn the Tbird suppliers sell a repair kit. no a difficult job but the door must be removed.
