Hello I replaced the fuel pump on my 56 tbird with an original AC fuel pump. I’m not sure which port because they’re not marked in or out. Does anyone know which port is in versus out? Or know how I can tell?

Have someone turn the engine over while you put a finger over a port. Input will suck your finger in, To carb. port will blow your finger away.

The inlet is towards the front.

Sorry I wasn’t able to chime in earlier, but I was traveling for business. I trust you were able to figure out the inlet and outlet of your AC fuel pump. I want to throw in a pic from my ‘56 with a rebuilt AC (original to this car). It was rebuilt by Arthur Gould Rebuilders in Holden, MA. I can tell you I went through hell and high water when my original quit, but the team at Arthur Gould Rebuilders saved the day.
So back to the connections, mine is a little different than what’s been posted and I don’t know why. The inlet is on the right or rear of the pump and the outlet or feed to the Teapot is on the left or front facing of the pump..
