Hi all,
I'm looking to to replace my current 6.70x15 bias ply whitewall tires with something in a radial and retaining the wide white look.
Don't necessarily have to have the "pie crust" look on the side walls.
Please let me know what you're running and likes or dislikes.
I don't run the fender skirts so hopefully tire rub won't be any kind of issue.
Additionally do you feel the radials make a marked difference in handling and ride quality and how was the bang for the buck.
Thanks,
Bob

There are only a few companies that make whitewall radials, and Diamondback is the way to go. I have those on my '55 and they are doing great. Previously I had tried to save money getting the fake whitewall tire trim inserts, that make a regular tile look like a whitewall. They have them on Amazon. That was a waste of money, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go that route. They never lay flat.

1 more vote for Diamondback Tires. That is what I am running on my 57.

I am running BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial P205/75R 15
I like the way they ride. I have had them 4 years.

My 57 Thunderbird has Coker Classic tires. Wide whitewall radial tires that are working great for me.
