Ok so all was going well with the car when yesterday afternoon the indicators just stopped working. Can’t see any reason for it. Sidelights work fine it’s just the flashers.
The ‘blink rate’ was quite fast so am thinking flasher unit has failed maybe?
We are on a major US road trip until September and no indicators is a pain.
Currently in Manteo, Outer Banks NC
Help !

Thanks. Was just in case 6v as per original spec made a difference. Thanks for the amendment.

When you converted to 12 volt did you change the flasher to 12 volt.

Hello Dick - Yes It was a 12v unit, correct polarity observed and have tried a new one this morning. No joy, so will be tracing the wiring back once it cools off a bit. I brought my multi tester with me. Hand signals till then. White terminal + Black - Earth or ground.
Heading to Chesapeake and Norfolk area now.
Thanks for your reply.
