Headlight switch pulls completely out. Is there a keeper or somethin I need to prevent this from happening?

On the headlight switch there is a small spring loaded button. When you depress this button the headlight switch knob and shaft can be removed from the switch.

That is a great photo. Different issue that helps me. I would never have thought to look for a fuse on the back of a light switch.

FYI that button is hard to locate when your basically reaching under the dash and trying to fit a finger in the gap and mine was hard to press. I put a cloth garden glove on as pressing it was a bit painful🙂

The fuse on the headlight switch only powers the courtesy lamp in the dash and the door jamb switches. If this is blown, check the wiring to the map light and door switches for bare wires especially where the wires exit the kick panels and enter the door jamb.
