For anyone interested, whether you're from New England or visiting, listed below is a great show for next June, you may want to plan on attending:

New England's ************************ will be hosting the 14th annual Thunderama at Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH. A Thunderbird Concours with "fun" judging will be held in addition to an All Makes Vehicle Show at the same time.

The event will be held on June 24, 2007 on the village green of the Shaker Museum. This location is just 20 minutes north of Concord, NH which has many attractions nearby. It is also only a 45 minute drive to the NH seacoast and the Kittery malls.

This will be the largest gathering of Thunderbirds in the northeast for 2007. The area will hold upwards of 250 cars. The Shaker Museum will provide 2 free tickets (a $30 value) to their museum that encompasses 634 acres with over 25 buildings to tour. The Shaker Table Restaurant, Summer Kitchen and an outdoor grill are availabe for food.

NEVT welcomes all "Retro" 'Birds and looks forward to working with TBF members again in the judging of these cars.

Make plans now to attend this fun and relaxed day!

UPDATE:
As of today there are 90 TBirds registered for the show in NH. Coming from many States as well as Canada. Of that, there are 20+ New T Birds registered and we have an event filled weekend starting on Friday for anyone interested

Intinerary:
Friday 06.22.07

If anyone is planning to be up in NH early on Friday we can plan to head over to the Budweiser factory in Merrimack, NH for a tour and a little tasting. We will probably have to leave the Courtyard Marriott by 2:30 PM to get there by 3:00 PM as they close at 5:00 PM. (Anyone coming up on Friday, please let me know when you plan to arrive). In addition to the normal events at the brewery, they are also hosting the annual Rock ‘n Ribfest (admission $5.00 + food, sponsored by the Rotary Club) which features live entertainment and lots and lots of BBQ.

After returning to the Hotel, we will all meet in the lobby at 7 PM for an evening cruise out to dinner.
Saturday 06.23.07

Meet in the lobby of the Hotel and we will leave at 10:00 AM for our all day Saturday cruise. For anyone arriving on Saturday, you might not be able to check in this early and will have to wait until we get back from our cruise in the evening. Please have breakfast prior to meeting up.
We will head North up I-93 for an hours drive up to the White Mountains and Franconia Notch.

Our first stop in the area will be at the Flume Gorge (admission $10.00). Description here:

http://www.flumegorge.com/

This tour involves 1 mile of walking and several staircases. For those who are unable to do this, the visitors center offers a movie of the area and there is no admission charge.

The next stop will be just up the street at Cannon Mountain for a Tram ride to the top of it’s 4180’ summit (admission $11.00). The New England Ski Museum (if anyone is interested) is at the base of the mountain and is free to the public. There are facilities at the bottom and the top of the mountain.

Cannon Mountain info here:

After visiting Cannon Mountain, we will cruise East along the Southern edge of the White Mountain National Forest range on the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. This is a windy 28 mile road that climbs an ear popping 3000’. There could be a possibility of moose sightings, so bring your binoculars if you have them (if you come across one in the road you have to stop the car as they are fearless and won’t get out of the way). Also bring sweaters. Last week the temperature went from 65 degrees to 45 degrees when a cloud bank moved over the mountains.

After exiting the East side of the White Mountain National Forest, we’ll head South to visit the Castle in the Clouds ($8.00 admission). We will be visiting there between 4:30 and 6:00 PM.

Castle in the clouds info here:

After visiting the Castle, we will head South to Merideth, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee to Hart's Turkey Farm for dinner.
Check out the menu here (there's lots more on the menu than just Turkey):

We should be back at the Hotel sometime between 8 and 9 PM.

For any night owls that aren't ready for bed yet, there is Candlepin "Glow" Bowling (lights off, black lights, and music) going on in Concord until 11:00 PM.

Sunday 06.24.07

Breakfast is on your own. Check out of the Hotel and leave for Thunderama at 9:00 AM.
This driving tour will be headed by a very avid TBird enthusiast. People can do all , nothing, or just portions of this event. The actual car show is on Sunday and with registrations comes two tickets to the Shaker Village.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, the itinerary will be changed.

78 degrees, no humidity and we had 26+ New Birds out of 90 Thunderbirds in total at the show. It was a gorgeous site for a gathering. Probably one of the best and scenic that I've been at in my 30+ years of shows.
Here's an article from the NH newspaper.....too bad they didn't talk with us about the New Birds:
